Block Bottom Square Ended 3D

These bags look square in appearance.  When covering an object with a flat cover, ears stick out which have to be taped down.  With a block bottom box shaped cover, there is no need as the top of the cover is square or oblong shaped.

Butterfly Perfs

Holes punched into the material to allow air to escape.  This variation of punched perf does not fully remove the material particle so there is no risk of contaminating the produce which is to be placed inside.

Call-Off

Call-Off orders are those which are held in stock, ready to be called off.  This way, there is no delay in supplying an end user as the material has been bought specially, ready to convert when the end use requires them.

Centre Folded

A product which is folded in half (centre) and wound onto a reel for conversion.

C-Folded

When C Folding a product, the outer edges are folded inwards.  This helps with space saving when storing the finished product.  Normally applied to products on reels.

Circular Base Liners

Liners with a rounds base.  For use in drums or covering round objects.

Co-Extruded

Two layers of material extruded at the same time forming one finished layer.  Typical applications are Low Slip outer for stacking purposes and high slip inner to help open the product and slide objects in, White outer so markings can be made on the product and Black inner to hide the contents in the bag.

Conical Shaped Bags

Bags shaped like a cone at the closed end.  Used to line hoppers or simplify emptying the bag into another object.

Double Welded Bags

Bags with two welds to improve weld strength or to offer a second barrier if the first seal was to fail.

Draw Cord/String Covers

Covers with strings around the opening allowing the user to pull them shut once applied.

Embossed

Material with an embossed surface.  Used between stacked layers to help prevent slipping.

Extruder Convertors

Companys who extrude/blow/make material and also convert too.

Extruders

Companys who extrude/blow/make material for re-sale.

Eyelets

Flat Sheets

Sheets manufactured flat, not folded.

Form-Fill-Seal

Form-Fill-Seal applications involve a machine that uses SWS to wrap and object and seal it closed.

Gap-In-Seal

A gap in created in the seal to help place an object through the closed end of the bag

High Performance/High Strength Blends

These blends have the characteristics of a thicker material but at a thinner gauge/micron

Lathe Covers

Machine/Lather covers, usually several metres in length and square shaped.

LDPE

LDPE = Low Density Polyethylene

Linear Rich

Linear is added to polythene to increase its strength
